TOURNAMENT STRUCTURE
Tournament Format:
Brackets are played over two days (August 29 & 30th)
National Associations with 65 or more Players:
Bracket Style: Ladder
Ladder Duration: 4 Hours per day
Minimum Matches to Rank on the Leaderboard: 8
Scoring Format: Win-Loss Differential
Tiebreakers: Qualified, Win-Loss Differential, Total Matches Played, Wins
Match Style: Best of 1
National Associations under 65 Players:
Bracket Style: Double Elimination
Match Style: Best of 1
Tournament Operations
Elimination Brackets:
Every participant who wishes to participate in the event must complete tournament check-in during the 60-minute check-in period, before the event start time.
Participants are required to check in to each match. They will have 10 minutes to do so.
Once a match is complete, participants must report their score by clicking the Report Score button on the Match Page and following the website's instructions
Participants must have screenshots/photos or recordings of their matches to provide proof of victory to admins if necessary.
Participants are not allowed to intentionally quit their matches without prior admin authorization. If you do so and an admin deems quitting unnecessary, you may receive a match loss.
Ladder Brackets:
Competitors will be able to search for and play matches during a four-hour play period.
To be eligible for qualification, Competitors are required to play a minimum of 8 games during the Ladder duration over two days.
Competitors will begin the ladder unranked. All matches will be one (1) single game. The winner of the match is the Competitor with the higher score at the end. Games cannot end in a tie.
Score reporting must be accurate at all times.
Match Settings
Game Type: Ultimate Team Classic Match
Half Length: 9 Minutes
Any other unlisted settings must not be changed and must be kept at their default
Match Operations and Additional Rules
Match Operations
Competitors will need to add each other as friends in the game.
Competitors must play their opponent through the Online Friendlies Mode
To do this go to Ultimate Team -> Online Friendlies -> Classic Match -> Invite your opponent
Any Competitor shall type /coinflip in the Battlefy match chat before starting the match. The winner of the coin flip should invite the other Competitor in-game
If a participant suffers a disconnection, the player will be given 5 minutes to present themselves to an admin and continue their match. If they have not presented themselves at this time, that player may receive a match loss.
Communication
Competitors' communication outside of Battlefy Match Chat or the official Discord Chat channels will be ignored for purposes of administrative decision-making. Admins do not have access to any social channels such as X/Twitter and messages sent via those channels will not be reviewed as part of administrative decisions.
Competitors must message their opponent in Battlefy Match Chat to set up their match
Any Player Communication with Admins regarding Match Issues is handled exclusively in the Match Chat, except if an admin request otherwise
Match Issues
Use the "Report Match Issue" button on the match page in the case of any issue
If your opponent is breaking a rule set above, you must immediately contact an admin. It is your responsibility to verify that the game settings are correct.
If a game is played through a significant duration with incorrect settings or participant information before an admin is contacted, the game will be valid and the score will stand
If a participant is found breaking any of the rules above and admins deem warrants a game loss, the participant will be informed of this decision and the win will be given to their opponent.
Players can report their own score.
