Game Day
In this section you’ll be guided through the tournament experience, where we’ll show you everything you need to know to play your tournament matches on Battlefy.
If you are using your mobile device to access Battlefy. You will find the sections shown on the following pages under the “Play” button at the bottom of the tournament page.
A) Navigate to the Tournament Page
The Event Page is where you should be for the duration of the tournament, you can find the event pages at battlefy.com/fc-pro-mobile
Alternatively
Select your profile located at the bottom left of your screen on Battlefy.
Select the Joined Tournaments tab
Select ‘Go to Tournament’
B) Prepare for the Tournament
All critical tournament information will be displayed on the tournament page, so make sure to stay on it for the duration of the tournament
Once the tournament starts, you need to press the “Search For Match” button to be paired with an opponent.
C) Begin Searching for an Opponent
After clicking "Search For Match" you will be brought to a page where the system will automatically start looking for an opponent.
Matchmaking has, by default, a 5 minute cooldown timer. You will not be able to search for more than one match within this timeframe.
D) Opponent Found, Accept Your Match
Once an opponent has been found, you will need to accept the match within 60 seconds or the match will automatically be canceled.
E) Both Players have Accepted the Match
You may proceed with setting up your match according to the rules. The Match Chat should be used for setting up the match and sharing the match ID.
F) Settings and How to Play
The Competitors must play their opponent through the quick match H2H mode with the following settings
Extra time: Enabled
Penalties: Enabled
Team: My Team
The host of the match will post the Match ID or the Join Link in the Battlefy Match chat. The joining player will join the Quick Match using the Match ID or Join Link, then both players will ready up and play the match.
G) Reporting Scores
Once the game is complete and final score is decided, return to the Battlefy Match Page.
Click the Report Score button.
The system will present your match history
Select the tournament match you and your current opponent just played.
Confirm the score
This was the last step in your match.
Afterwards, repeat this process from step "C" to find your next game!
If you have a problem with your match
Reach out to a Tournament Admin! Different organizations will have different methods of assisting players, so refer to the tournament rules and contact page for instructions.
Several organizers will assist players directly through your Match Page, as seen below :
If you have a problem with your match, select Report Match Issue on the Match Page to notify admins.
Communicate with admins via the match chat on the Match Page
Admins will arrive shortly to resolve your issue, please wait in the match chat for them to arrive
Ladder Ranking
When participating in ladder tournaments, participants are ranked based on their peak ELO rating.
Ladders are used as a Qualifier to the Playoffs phase, so you may see information regarding how many players are qualified.
In order to fight for a qualifying spot, players need to play a minimum amount of 20 matches over the ladder duration. (If you don't have enough matches, you will always be ranked lower than those who have)
The automatic tiebreaker is based on the following criteria:
If Competitors are tied in their peak placement ranking at the end of the ladder tournament, the tiebreaker will be resolved by the following methods for seeding purposes for the FC Pro Mobile Playoffs only, in descending order of priority:
Finishing placement on the ladder at the end of the tournament (based on current ELO)
Highest total number of wins in the tournament
Highest total number of goals scored
Least total number of goals conceded
