This is a player guide to help you prepare for and participate in the
Splatoon 3 North American League events. Please be sure to review the official rules.
Game Day
In this section, you’ll be guided through the tournament experience, where we’ll show you everything you need to know to play your tournament matches on Battlefy.
If you are using your mobile device to access Battlefy. You will find the sections shown on the following pages under the “Play” button at the bottom of the tournament page.
A) Navigate to the Event Page
The Event Page is where you should be for the duration of the tournament, you can find the event pages at https://battlefy.com/nintendovs/splatoon3-north-american-league/
B) Prepare for the Tournament
All critical tournament information will be displayed on the tournament page, so make sure to stay on it for the duration of the tournament
Once the tournament starts, you should then press the “Search For Match” button to be paired with an opponent.
C) Begin Searching for an Opponent
After clicking "Search For Match" you will be brought to this page where the system will automatically start looking for an opponent.
D) Opponent Found, Accept Your Match
Once an opponent has been found, you will need to accept the match within 60 seconds or the match will automatically be canceled.
E) Both Players have Accepted the Match
You may proceed with setting up your match according to the rules. The Match Chat should be used for setting up the match.
F) Settings and How to Play
Required Gameplay and Settings: Once the two designated Teams are in the Private Battle room, the host must select the appropriate mode and stage with the following settings:
For the first game, a Captain from either Team will type “/coinflip” into Battlefy’s Match Chat. The coin flip will determine the Team that will choose the mode for the first game. The other Team will choose the stage. After the first game, the winning Team will choose the mode for the next game and the loser will choose the stage. Each mode and each stage can only be chosen once per match.

Weapons/Gear: Anything player has unlocked may be used, except that Splatfest Tees are not allowed to be worn. Any player wearing a Splatfest Tee may result in an automatic game loss for their Team in Sponsor’s discretion.
Recon: OFF
More Settings: The host must press X Button for more settings, and then set the following settings:
Primary Gear Abilities Only: OFF
Reporting Scores
Now that you've beat your opponent and taken a screenshot of your victory screen, you will want to click the "Report Score" button on the Match page.
Click "Report Score Game 1". Here you can input the score of the first game.
Repeat this process for Game 2 and if played Game 3
You can upload a screenshot of the final score by clicking the screenshot box.
If you place in the top 8 during the ladder
The Captain of each Team must "Check-In" with Tournament Admin at least one hour before the start of the Top 8 Event. The check-in step can be fulfilled from the Tournament discord server in the #top-8 channel located at this link: https://discord.gg/jquWdGR.
Hosting: Tournament Admin will host all matches in the Top 8. Captains must become friends with Tournament Admin by adding the Friend Code provided by Tournament Admin and accepting the friend request. Tournament Admin will create a Private Battle and all other players on the two Teams participating in the match will join the Private Battle room.

The team with the higher seed will choose the mode for the first game. The other team will choose the stage. After the first game, the winning team will choose the mode for the next game and the loser will choose the stage. Each mode and each stage can only be chosen once per match.

If you have a problem with your match, select Report Match Issue on the Match Page to notify admins
Communicate with admins via the match chat on the Match Page
Admins will arrive shortly to resolve your issue, please wait in the match chat for them to arrive
