This guide covers the essential steps for playing in both the Swiss and Double Elimination portions of the competition. Good luck!
Part 1: Swiss Stage
The Swiss stage is a multi-round format where you'll be paired against opponents with the same or a similar win-loss record as you.
Your Steps:
Check-In: Before the tournament starts, make sure you are checked in on the Battlefy tournament page.
Wait for Round 1: Once check-in closes, the tournament admins will start the first round.
Find Your Match: Follow the notification when your new match starts. Alternatively, go to the Brackets tab on the Battlefy tournament page. Your current match will be highlighted. Click on it to open your Match Page.
Play Your Match: Follow the "General Match Rules" below to host and play your game.
Report Your Score: After the match, return to your Match Page on Battlefy and enter the final score.
Wait for the Next Round: Once all scores for the round are reported, the admins will generate pairings for the next round. Repeat the process until all Swiss rounds are complete.
Part 2: Double Elimination Stage
In this stage, you are not eliminated until you lose two matches. If you lose in the Winners Bracket, you'll drop to the Losers Bracket for a second chance.
Your Steps:
Find Your Match: After the Swiss stage, the Double Elimination bracket will be seeded. Find your first match on the Brackets tab.
Play & Report: Follow the "General Match Rules" below.
Follow the Bracket:
If you win: You will advance to the next round in the Winners Bracket.
If you lose: You will drop to the Losers Bracket. If you lose again in the Losers Bracket, you are eliminated.
Continue this process until you are eliminated or qualified.
